That was me before really...I had 20 minute long vids uploaded to Youtube and it took about 4-6 hours to finish! I tried using a video compressor and it did work really (from 580 MB to 80 MB) but the file would come out corrupt at times. So I just use Camtasia Studio to render the file in .MP4 720p and it's amazing! Now my file sizes just range from 70 to 90 MB and with my upload speed, that should take about 45 minutes for me. :D
Sorry if I sound like I'm advertising...:p

What about a program that would shut down a computer after rendering a video ? Like shutting it down after sony vegas is done ? I dunno I'm just questioning.

Save your project then download a timer software? Well, I dunno. I used to do this with my dino laptop which has a slow procie that took up 4-6hrs of rendering.>.>

I think Shutter works as well. It has an option instead of countdown, it's low CPU usage. Once the CPU usage goes below a certain threshold, you can have it shutdown.
How long does it take you to get your videos uploaded? 4 hours! That's crazy! How long is the video?
It's a 45 minute long Let's Play

I tend to upload from work as its super fast, but if I do it from home I upload via my server as that stays on 24/7 anyways.

Thanks for recommending that Shutter program! I've been wanting to get something like that for quite a while and never had the time to go looking for one. I only have 1Mbps upload on my cable connection (even though I get 28MBps download) because Canada has a terribly Internet oligopoly so I usually upload my videos on my work's fiber connection but sometimes I still have to do it at home and this is great for that.

Be glad and you still have a decent dl speed and ul speed. here in the Philippines. It costs $45 just to have 1.5MBPS with Phone. Ul speed is .54mbps.

Man, sorry to hear that. That's just criminally slow. :( We do still have it very well here compared to some places but it's still pretty terrible price to performance ratio. And the only reason for that is because there's no competition here and our government is too toothless to stand up to our telecartels.

I know bro. One of the ISP here just bought two ISPs.>.> Now there are only 2-3 major ISP for consumers.:/ Fibr ISP is also eff'd up. Paying for almost $100 for 8.5MBPS.>.> Paying $500 for 100MBPS. That's just a no-no.
