Turn monetizing on/off??

So this might be a no-brainer but I just want to check to be on the safe side

I'm planning to start monetizing my videos! The problem is that amongst others I make videos with copyrighted material (music covers and movie analyzes)! Once you upload a video with copyrighted material Youtube usually automatically turns monetizing off but what should I do if that doesn't occur? I have a couple of videos which haven't got a copyright claim despite it having copyrighted stuff in it! I want to respect the creators of the music/movie and not make money on something that they've created through hard work!

So my question is: is there a way to turn monetizing off for certain videos?

hey bro,

Could you sort your channel link out so I can see your channel,

Yes you can turn monetizing off for certain videos if you go to your video manager section, also I'm guessing your a musician? you might want to get written permission before you monetize, I wouldn't want you getting a strike

If you respected them, you wouldn't be posting their copyrighted work without permission.

Hmm, it's wierd, I have the right URL but for some reason my "channel doesn't exist." Any idea why this's a thing?

Ah, okey I see! Good to know! =)

Monetization will not be enabled for all videos unless you're in an MCN. It's pretty simple, just monetize only the videos you want ads displaying on or that you have the rights to in video manager.
