Tumblr actually works...!

So I decided to post a link to my videos in Tumblr, and there actually some attention from it:

17 notes in a matter of a few hours! It's getting some attention, but I know I gotta push and get that up to high numbers...
Anyone else tried this and worked?
Also, anyone use other ways of showing your videos?

Just finally started the scifiriot tumblr today (scifiriot.tumblr). The trick with tumblr is in the tags and following people who post similar content. Directly sharing your posts/videos is hard, since most tumblrs don't have a contact link and even if they do you can't put links in asks. If your videos have a popular theme (ie revolve around a game, tv show, movie, comic book, etc) you can sometimes find really good traction just by having the right people reblog you.

Best thing is to treat it like YouTube: be consistent, participate and interact, and be patient and build slowly. But keep in mind what your real goal is: a follower for your YouTube channel's tumblr is not as good as a sub on the channel itself. Like FB and Twitter, it's an attention funnel to get them to the real destination.
 
I just posted a video on Tumblr, but the whole site kind of confused me lol. If it gets me any views, I may continue :) Thanks for the idea!
 
I have never tryed tumblr even though im a regular user. Maybe i need to start promoting my channel on their. Thanks for the idea!
 
Someone shared my stuff on Tumblr once and it got about 82 notes in like 3 days. I like Tumblr for that, sharing stuff is so easy it's actually difficult to be too lazy to do it lol.
 
My tumblr never works I don't understand why though I gained followers a while ago but I checked today and I lost them don't know what it is
 
I have a tumblr account ,but it just looks bleh, I post my new videos on there, and I get nothing :/

Nice! I am thinking about using tumbler for funny gifs and stuff, then putting a watermark on them with my channel name or something, tumblr seems to work really well!
