Trouble with links to YouTube live stream

I have tried several ways to put a link in our website that opens our YouTube live stream page, but have not been successful. I tried to put the link info that I have tried but this forum will not allow me to show the URL.
Anybody know the correct way to link our live stream page to our website?
Also, any way to enter a URL in these messages?

YTtalk only allows promotional links to be posted in the "Videos and Channels" forum. That particular forum requires either the "Videos access" or "VIP" memberships to create threads with links to videos. This thread explains more:

However, for your website's video link, I'd imagine that you could put the URL to the live video on your website. Other YTtalk members might know more, but I'm pretty sure it's just like a video URL. I haven't done a livestream before, so I'm not entirely sure, but I think all the livestreams I've been on are regular YouTube video URLs.
