Total Channel Views DECREASED Suddenly?

I've Got It
Hello YT Talk, I have a problem.
A few days ago I made some of my videos unlisted so I could change their thumbnails. After doing so, I made them public again, and the total channel views decreased by about 1000!
Is this something that will revert after the system sees that it was just a short change, or will the views from the videos that were made unlisted and public again never count towards total channel views?

I would assume the channel views will come back up. I have 2 different channel view counts at the moment from videos I removed a few days ago. I wouldn't worry too much about it, as YouTube's system tends to be a bit slow when counting views and such. :)

I saw this happen to Pewdiepie as well. He lost over 500,000,000 views and I was curious as to why. Please give us an update if you get them back. I am interested in knowing why people lose views like that. Thank you and I really hope it is corrected for you, :).

Unlisting videos affects the viewcount on your video page, since it's public and in theory someone could tally all the views on your videos and notice a discrepancy. So when you unlist videos they get substracted from your viewcount.

In your analytics you should still be able to see your total viewcount. If you can't something is definitely wrong, but if it's the right number then your viewcount will return to normal when you re-list your old videos.
