Too shy to record my voice for my videos.....

Just as JmyDown said there's actually a scientific reason behind why your voice sounds weird to yourself (Google or youtube "why we hate our own voice" and you'll find a lot of infos). Just think that your voice actually sounds like the one you're used to.

I'm not a native english speaker myself so I know the "my accent sounds strange" feeling. What I did is that I gave myself some youtube rules/guidelines like don't be afraid (I'm afraid of a lot of things :D) or don't care what people may say. That's the mindset I have when I make youtube videos.

So if you want to do videos with your voice in it just do it! :D

Some people consider talking in a video to be a skill that is developed the more you do it, and personally I kinda believe that. Before in my early years of making videos I had a very weak voice and my talking was very wonky but if you ignore how bad you think you sound or how bad your doing, if you keep talking in every video that you do eventually you will just talk normally and words just come naturally. If english is not your first language then speak your first language, you will still get viewers. Hope this helped ^_^

Also don't record yourself if you aren't feeling like it, especially don't force yourself just to get the video done. Do it when you're full of energy.

Go for it dude! I think it will only strengthen your content, and I'm sure your viewers will get used to it!

Do a vlog for a minute or two and maybe don't upload the first one.
I did some letsplays in the very beginning and I was unbelievably awkward that I was forcing myself to be MYSELF, ironic...
I had to go back to school for about a month to finish up finals and during that time I only did vlogs to practice and it really helped me to open up and be myself. When I came back my letsplays had a brand new life to them. I'm still not completely there on being myself, but I'm really close and I'm very happy with how I've changed in my videos.

We all go though this.

The main thing is not the accuracy of your English, but that it's not so heavily accented that people can't understand it. Got it ?

So practice the clarity angle a bit.

Clear commentary at a relaxed tone will win many viewers in.

Some accents are really catchy, and suck you in. I like the Russian accents and way of phrasing.

I was also nervous about my Aussie accent, but I've have good feedback and no one has deserted me yet :)

So just do it dude, and all the best.

I don't like my recorded voice, it's sound very weird.. That's why I have been uploading videos without my voice but now my viewers keep asking me to share my voice description.. English is not my first language so, my accent is little different too. So, I'm really confused right not,I don't know what to do. What you guys suggest..?
Everyone is uncomfortable with their recorded voice. Just imagine you're talking to a friend and it'll be easier to be more comfortable with your mic voice. :)

Just hearing someone's voice adds so much personality, and really adds to who we are! It does become part of your identity, even more so on a Youtube platform. Ironically, I just did a video about being yourself, it was first video in years where I'm actually on facecam! ;)

Bro nobody cares about the accent. There are soooooo many different countries represented on youtube and I've seen COUNTLESS people on this forum say exactly what you just did. I promise man, no one is going to care. I mean look at PewdiePie and Marzipan, they're like the most famous people on youtube and they've got unusual non english sounding accents. If anything americans will just find you interesting for it.[DOUBLEPOST=1405872266,1405872246][/DOUBLEPOST]
