Today's top tip

lol, it's called taking opportunities when they arise. Just like he is now doing with his new-found success.

Is he "taking advantage" of reddit users or maybe twitter users by making a second video saying "wooo 45 twitter followers" and poof 5 days later he has over 40,000 followers? He's milking it and taking advantage of YT and good for him.

People on here are always moaning they have no ideas for videos or don't know how to promote. I'm throwing an idea out there, showing how you need to think out of the box. I could have done it myself, but I don't do vlogs.
First of all, I was joking, that's basically all I do when I post.

But there's a difference, he posted the video but wasn't the one posting it to Reddit so he had no control over people liking it and subscribing to him.

You can do whatever the hell you feel like doing, who am I to stop it?

Terrible advice! You are teaching everyone how to steal thunder from other people.
I know how it's like too someone when someone steals your work and "play innocent"
I toke a very rare picture of one of my chinchillas and someone had copied and paste it on their blog.
My page had 7 views and their blog over 100 views, 70 downloads and likes. and in very small writing they had put the link to my account but got nothing from it.

So do not do what he is telling you to do no offense to you or anything but for some people it can upset them.

My advice is to pick a profession that not many people do that requires talent. Drawing or playing and instrument that no one has heard about will get you views and talking in vlogs that happening now, not about your daily life that should come last.

Or combine new with your profession like i have drawn images from movies that are coming out into the cinemas and already got 200 views with a day and a half. you have to experiment. People say its sooo hard but it really isn't you just got to figure it out.

lol stealing his "work"? Where do I mention stealing? Someone stealing your video and someone creating their own original content on their own channel about a trending topic are 2 totally different concepts. Do you not see that?

The advice is to make a video about a trending topic that people are searching for. It's not rocket science and people have been doing it for years on YT. Singers write fan songs about big YTtubers to surf on their success. Graphic artists do videos on how to design thumbnails like Pewdiepie. People do Vlogs about talking about Justin Bieber or flappy birds. It's pretty standard. You don't even have to inbox the guy the link. He doesn't have to watch it. Everyone else finding it via search would be sufficient. lol at "stealing."

What about your channel? You teach people how to draw characters from blockbuster films like spiderman. Are you stealing from the creators of spiderman and "playing innocent"? You said so yourself that drawing characters from movies is really popular and it's great idea and you're doing well at it. Well that is using the same advice that I'm giving in this thread - doing videos about trending topics. You aren't stealing, and neither is doing a video talking about Sir Fedora.

I planned on it, but I realized I didn't give a f**k at all and knew it boiled down to me trying to please other people. If you don't care enough about the topic, there's no way to make it entertaining, so it's just a dread.

lol yeah I know what you mean. I just didn't have it in me either which is why I put the idea on here lol.

Stealing to me is if you copy peoples work (Copying and Pasting) and the part when i said "steal" was a separate thing about when it happened to me. and my point is to not kiss peoples a**e's. Thats what i hate the most and i have seen it every where lately.

I have not copied any one else's work otherwise my drawings would be 100% the same.

So basically...take advantage of this kid?
Just think... "What would Edge do?"

Ultimate Opportunist.

But yeah... I'm not sure I'd want to use the kid like that. He's so innocent and kind, I'd feel bad doing that. I'd rather he just enjoy what he's getting now, without anybody trying to leech off of it.

Absolutely right, My secendery advice from what i said follows on to this point. if you are a news channel you could be like " Sir Fedora is a 8 year old kid who asked 3 - 5 likes on a video but gaining him 50k views" something like that instead of " Sir Fedora is sooo cute and adorable and he is sooo nice pllleeeeassse subscribe to him" that to me as i said is kissing the back side :D and stealing his thunder.

I am a wee bit jelly of how popular he has gotten thanks to Reddit, if only I could have that success, but at the same time, I fully respect him and am happy for him, his life is pretty much made now, especially whenhe gets all sorted with Adsense

People try to bait me by sending me messages and asking to watch and comment on their video.
Sorry, I'm not a puppet.
