Tips to get growth on Youtube :)

I think we all know the answers on how to get bigger on Youtube but the community is just so large it really is hard to get noticed.

For everyone wondering, I am Casno. I have had videos reach the 20k and 100k (The 100k was on another channel, can link for non-believers if interested). BUT I am in the same boat as everyone on this thread. Most of my recent videos get 3-13 views. Though I do know some ways to improve videos if you guys want to hear my two cents. Obviously I am not credible for this being a 100% legit way to get big but I can help if you want me to.

So here is what I think helps a Youtuber grow big:
  • Consistency: Literally this is the BIGGEST thing about being a Youtuber. You WILL eventually get to a good spot if you have great consistency on Youtube. I have spoken with many bigger Youtubers through AMAs, Q&A, Livestreams, etc and I asked them what they think is the secret and they all say consistency.
  • Thumbnails: Have you ever seen a video with some guys with a crazy face or a girl with absurdly large breasts and you clicked it for those reasons? There you go. I AM NOT SAYING PUT CLEAVAGE IN YOUR THUMBNAILS. NO. NOOOO. I am saying put something interesting like characters from the game your playing, a funny face when you got jump-scared, etc. Look at my Cave Story Let's Play thumbnails. I am not trying to brag but look how consistent and neat they are.
  • Being Yourself: This one is also really big. This also takes a lot of time. I have been off and on Youtube-ing since 2008 and I started off the same as most people. Monotone and boring. I am still in the process of converting between monotone to really emotional and enthusiastic about everything voices in my videos. But when someone clicks your video and you are all happy and excited to play and you commentate well over your video and trying to stay away from silence and monotone voices they will realize you are worth watching. Now if you are playing a game with a lot of cutscenes it is okay to not talk while those are going on.
  • Play and Cover New Games: This one is hard because you might not have enough money to always buy newer games. But people who buy games or are going to soon are going to look up gameplay on the game. If you are first to buying it and upload videos about it, people will see your video on their searches and watch it.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with someone. Share subs. It is a legitimate strategy.
Obviously you don't have to listen because I am not big. But I do wish to help you guys. If you have anymore things that can help that I missed, please reply and tell me. Thank you :)

Good tips I agree with all of them and especially being active on youtube watching and commenting on as many videos as possible.

I definitely agree with consistency. Ever since I announced a schedule on my channel, I've had loyal subscribers rather than ones who just show up whenever (not a plug, just a fact haha).

Saw a great analogy online where someone compared a YouTube channel to a person's favourite TV show. If they know when it's on, they are obviously going to have a better chance of watching it. If that schedule is interrupted, the person will get annoyed.

Schedules and consistency are just as vital as the video themselves.

This. So much this. I had the same thing, when I had a consistent schedule I noticed an increase in views as well

Wish I had the loot to buy the latest and greatest.
I know it is hard. I don't have a capture card, I have a cheap $15 walmart microphone, I have a computer that can barely run Minecraft. You just got to have fun, what ever you do.

You actually rank higher if your consistently uploading. Its all apart of YouTube's search algorithm, which also looks at view time of your videos etc.

Relevancy, Quality and Consistency to the top!
