Hey everyone! I have some useful tips that could help you better promote your videos via social media. I am NOT going to go in depth on the description, tags, or thumbnails of your video. I am just going in depth on the social media part!
A lot of youtubers don't use social media to their advantage, in this day and age, it's really a must to be on the interwebs xD
Some youtubers will use twitter and facebook as their primary source of social media for their channel. However, I personally believe, the more social media platforms you are on, the larger your potential audience will become!
First off, create an official Instagram for you channel ( don't use your personal instagram ). You upload posts to remind your viewers to watch your videos here. You can also gain potential viewers by utilizing their "hashtag search engine". Search "DayZ", and follow the people who post and enjoy DayZ and DayZ related content. They will "most likely" follow back. And BAM. Everytime you make a post to remind people to check our your newest video, they will be more inclined to watch it! It's not a guaranteed view, but at least you are targeting and approaching a designated audience with your content!
Secondly, join as many site similar to this as possible. Share your videos there. BUT, that doesn't mean just post when you want people to watch your stuff. No, you really should become active in the community, give feedback, talk to other youtubers. I have found that building relationships with other Youtubers has benefited my channel a ton!
Third, sometimes you need a little help! Tell your friends about your channel! I personally have told all my friends to check out my channel, regardless if they were into video games. I've done this to "spread the word" of my channel. What if they have a sibling or friends who is REALLY into youtube and gaming? The person would be more inclined to tell them about my channel!
Basically what I'm getting at is, you need to bring your content to AS MANY people as you can.The more people you show your channel, the chances of gaining a returning viewer go up!
This last tip is purely for s***s and giggles. A lot of people know that popular dating and hook up app "Tinder". I'll be honest, I have a tinder. I use it to my channel's advantage tho. You will find TONS of women, and men if you're interest, who love video games and list it as a hobby. What you need to do is create a fairly attractive Tinder account, as the sexy beast I am ( jk jk ), I get a fair amount of matches. I engage in conversation about hobbies and BAM, I lay on em that I create youtube videos, and more than half the time, they find it cute and go check out my channel. Whether they subscribe or not is really a hit and miss scenario.
