Time is relative

Or so I am liking to zink! I alvays plan to do a short video...but ALVAYS I do videos 2x ze length I plan. AM I A SILLY SAUSAGE???

How do you plan your video lengths?

I have to script my stuff ruthlessly to get anywhere near a target time. In my experience, 700 words is about 3 minutes. Whenever I go off script to shoot a 3 minutes video, it ends up 15 minutes long.

Well either it's a live commentary and I keep myself on track with a stopwatch or it's a gameplay commentary where I have the video playing while I record the audio

Maybe that's the problem...I don't use a script. I just improvise...and get carried away with the fun games...

You see, it's actually not relative, per se, but more wibbley-wobbley, timey-wimey...stuff.

Anyway, I just keep track with my watch. Furthermore, I also keep the time in check via editing and cutting in post production. Kind of like when they adapt movies for TV release, haha.

Is it possible to cut off the video and release them in parts? There doesn't have to be a true ending per video, if you have them on a play list they will play one after another anyhow.
