Thumbnails?

Well just be safe about it. That mainly only happens if you upload cut scenes and stuff without permission. Otherwise it perfectly fine .

Does putting commentary over cutscenes help at all or do they still throw a hissy fit....?

i think you need to verify your account and enable monetization (this dont mean that you automatically monetize your videos,to monetize them you go in video manager and do it from there)

there is a little trick to have thumbnails even if you are just starting on youtube ... when you edit you`re video then paste the picture you want as thumbnai either at the begining or the end and make the picture half long as the video, upload it like that then the auto thumbnail will chose a frame thats more repited or something like that i can`t remember the exact explanation but since you can chose 3 posibilities for thumbnails you will be able to chose from where you upload it either the begining or the end and then use the tools that youtube has to edit you`re video when its uploaded and just cut up the photo so that only the video remains ... i know it a bit of work but it pays out in the end lol
