I love this option. I always thought the thumbnails youtube allows me were crap and didn't really advertise the videos I uploaded. Now that that option exists, i can simply take a frame out of the video and use that as my thumbnail. For me the possibilites are endless and I love the fact that I can finally choose the thumbnail that bests represents my video. Although I still think Dailymotion's option for this is still superior.I've been hearing talk of people being handed the thumbnail option, but nothing'***** me just yet. I'm really wanting to take advantage of it because with a graphic designer on board, we could make some really amazing things to draw people in.
Kinda feeling like we're the only ones who haven't been graced with it just yet

Adding misleading thumbs is actually against the terms of service for YouTube, so eventually you'll just end up with enough strikes against you to just mess yourself up. This being said, the bloody things still haven't landed with me ¬.¬I'm pretty good at photoshop, i've got 140 something subscribers and just over 1000 video views but i feel like people abuse thumbnails and just put pictures of hot girls with boobs just to get views its a shame really how people can't be creative. I feel like what you've got is eyecatching and professional. Nice one

I think you missed the YouTube Announcement where YouTube explained that they are handling them out to None-YouTube-Partner too. Some Members of this Forum already got them too without being Partnered by any Network or being even able to Monetize their Videos.

yeah i dont have a normal account anymore so I wouldnt know about the others I just doubt that youtube is just "handing them out" because thats kind of perceived as descriminating you know?

I have them on my personal account, but the account that I run my channel on has not gotten thumbnails. However, my personal account is from 2006 and has over 20k views so maybe that has something to do with it. Oh well I keep checking everyday because I'd much rather make my own graphics than have to choose from 3 random frames of my video hoping that a potential viewer can tell what the video is about just from that random thumbnail.

It`s not a big Deal. Just wanted to point out that YouTube is handling the Thumbnails even to those out that hadn`t Million of Views or are Partnered with some Network. I would even go that far to say that if a Video goes Viral and isn`t Monetize they would make you the Thumbnail Option available somehow.
