Does anyone know what software you need to make a thumbnail for your videos on YouTube? Just curious as I'd like to make my own

A lot of people use some free software called GIMP (google it) - It's a poor man's Photoshop. Not necessarily the easiest to learn, but pretty powerful.

Then you've got free online editors like https://pixlr.com/ which are pretty handy for starting out.
