Thumbnail style

I've Got It
Looking for some advice on this one.

If you do a youtube search for Surface RT tips on Youtube on the first page you will various bright white thumbnails with text on. They look something like this (although this is Nexus 7 thumbnail)

I've made them like this to be clear, consistent and dominating on the page but do you think they do the videos justice or should I be thinking of something a little more creative and eye catching? And if anyone has any ideas/mockups please let me know.

Cheers,

I think a lot of people judge videos by thumbnails, making it important to get it right, so props for wanting to do that. It usually depends on your target audience whether you'd use more color and such. For this thumbnail in specific, it may benefit more from a product image. Titles say a lot that thumbnails don't necessarily have to.
