thumbnail feedback

I've Got It
hey everyone

I have only recently became interested in thumbnail art recognising the importance it has for youtube if you could please provide feedback on this videos thumbnail it would be great!


would you click on the video just by the thumbnail?

It's a good start, but it doesn't really catch my eyes. I see what the title is from the thumbnail but not much else. Maybe add like makeup products to the thumbnail to catch the viewers eye to make them think "Ah yes! A video about makeup!" I feel the picture of you is a little too faded to see especially if it's a smaller resolution if I were to find it in my recommended feed. It's a great foundation that is sure to make something great! Great video btw!

They could use improvement. They don't really catch my eye. What program do you use to make your thumbnails? For me, I use GIMP, which is free, and I highly recommend it! :D
 
It is really good, all I would change is make the opacity of the white layer less so we could see your face in the thumbnail more. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I had GIMP before, It was too time consuming this is used with picmonkey
 
its a good thumbnail but since your doing some top make ups of 2016 then you prob should put some more well-known/recognized make up stuff there...i don't know about make up but maybe the brands...for example if w was doing top 10 phones of 2016 id throw up galaxy s7 edge, iphone 7+ pixel...something that ppl will recognize and will click on cus its something they know and its familiar. just a thought.
 
I suggest taking separate photos for your thumbnails and use better lighting. That way you don't have to struggle getting a screen cap from your video. Also photoshop is the best photo editing program available so if you can afford it, there should be cheaper options for older versions, then it's definitely worth it. Use colours that catch the eye and lines really help like your 2016 memories I really like that thumbnail :)

Gimp defiantly takes patience when you first use it, but I think it's worth it in the end for a free program.
