Thoughts on Thumbnails?

I like it the way YouTubers like TheCampingRusher do them. The say template for the same series, but differnt for differnt series, each episode with small changes. His link is youtube.com/ TheCampingRusher (obviously without the space)

Thumbnails IMO are a must, I put a lot of effort into them and they must come out amazing. I use a theme for all of them so they follow my brand and style so people can recognize it. It takes practice but eventually you'll have mastered the necessities of a thumbnail. Of course this doesn't mean it's all that's needed. It's like buying a gift for someone and getting the best gift wrapping ever. But what's inside depends on you and how good it is. if it's bad then they won't use it much.
 
New thumbnail every time, it's your foot in the door. Different themes for different series is a good idea, it helps you brand your channel. A good thumbnail is often worth more than a good video in terms of getting those clicks. Of course if your content isn't good too, no one will come back for more.
