Thoughts on screen flow?

UrAveragePerson

I have a life.
Hey guys,
Me and some mates were thinking of buying screen flow for a screen recorder. What do you guys think of it? I also like that you can edit on it as well just quickly though because its not as good as my favorite editor final cut.

I use it for all my screen captures, it's so much better than anything on the market. I would not advise using the in app editor, but that is personal preference

It's also better for your money. If you do a quick rundown:

Let's say you choose to buy (giving a PC example, cos I don't know many softwares for Mac that record) the following. Prices approximate.

- Fraps ($40 usd)
- Sony Vegas ($125)
- Wiretap ($69) - to record audio separately with pristine quality, better than audacity

That's... $234 on average. If you decided to choose Final Cut Pro ($300) or Adobe Premier (pro) ($800), you're forking out even more.

But Screenflow, for about $100 does all of these things. Its editing software looks basic but you can do loads with it, and given it's quite a 'lightweight' piece, it doesn't suck up system resources like FCP or AP (even the demos almost killed my system, constantly crashing, huge file sizes etc).

E.g. 15 minutes of lossless media at 720p only takes up about 700MB :) not bad at all!

Anyway, I'm done looking like I am being paid to sell the product ;) hahaha, moving on!

I've also seen good updates to screenflow. I've bad it for a few years now and they continue to tweak and develop it nicely.
Support is also pretty quick, should you even need it!
