This 'Subscribe to me' issue.

I know this is a extremely old complaint to people who does this, but I want to try again about it. I know not everyone does it (I'm subscribed to some people who doesn't do this thankfully), but most people does nevertheless.

Why would you put your "SUBSCRIBE" annotation at the end (or in the whole) video when there's a god damn subscription button right below the video?

Do you seriously believe that your fans or people who watches your video are too stupid to do it for themselves? Because either that's the case, or for the that you're forcing them to subscribe. Just because you say "If you like me, you should support me by subscribing to me if you want" doesn't mean you are trying to be passive about it if you still a lot of subscribers or have the f*****g annotation at the end that shows that big whorish button icon.

So may I ask this... what gives you the need to imply this if you have a bunch of support/subscribers in the first place? It's an extremely *******-ish thing to do in my opinion, but I would still want to know.

I don't do it, but my guess would be just a little bit of a nudge to get more subscribers. Not a very good tactic IMO, but hey, everyone has a different style.

Some youtubers do both say it and put it in a annotation too. To me if someone wants to subscribe that`s theri choice if they enjoyed the content from a channel. By saying it twice it kind of is like pushing somone somewhere twice really.

I think that "*******-ish" would be extreme... at the end of the day no one can "force" you to do anything. I do have a subscribe button in my annotations and I AM PROUD ...to be a "subscribe to me" person *** steps down pedestal *** (jk)And you can continue to not to if you dont want to... I dont think one is bad or worse than the other... do your thing. I have no right to judge something that small.

When browsing the internet, we do not read the pages as we would a book. Instead, as beautifully said by Steve Krug, we more so see the pages as billboards zooming by with 100 kph. We do not notice everything. We do not focus on everything.

People might know that the subscribe button is there, but they are rarely thinking about it. Therefore it can be a good idea to put some spotlight on subscribing. Not forcing it down their throats, of course.

Also, if people are watching in fullscreen, there is no subscribe button. People are more prone to tip if you have a tip-jar out.

At least that is my thoughts and reasons why I put a subscribe button in some of my videos, and even mentions it casually :) And last I checked, I was not an *******. I have one, but I am not one ;)

Condescending tone of this post aside, another reason one might do this is for convenience. Like the guy above me mentioned if they are watching in full screen having a subscribe button helps to keep people from having to leave the full screen video to find the subscribe button. Also if you get casual youtubers that find your video they may not know that subscribing is even a thing. How can you assume that everyone knows exactly how YT works? If it's not your thing that is fine but don't be a jerk to those that find it worthwhile. Just my $0.02

I have the annotation at the end, I don't know whats wrong with it really, its just a reminder and can work I guess. If I could be bothered to change my end screen, I think it would go but maybe one day ay

If the viewers are too dumb to find the subscribe button right below the video, then they're too dumb to find the unsubscribe button once they are subscribed. That's why you should use the annotation. You'll have their subscription forever.
