This is embarrassing... I cant find my youtube name!!!

Okay, very embarrassing second post! I don't know what my youtube name is?

I realized as I was setting up my YTTalk profile that I cannot find my youtube username. I only see a link to my channel with lots of letters and numbers etc.

Can I make my own URL? So that it can be youtube.com/loriloquacious/ ? I have looked everywhere on the net and I can only find answers for previous versions of youtube.

I swear this is not a marketing ploy, I need halp T_T
 
if you simply made a gmail account and logged into youtube with it you should of had a pop up to set up a youtube account but if you set up a account on the youtube page then log in with the email and password you made the account with and when your logged in you should see your name on the top right click it and when the option bar comes down just click my channel

They stopped doing that and started with the numbers a few years back, but there was a way to change it that I can't quite remember, have a look in your settings :)

and i guess there is no way to change it nowadays except for setting up some sneaky redirect link?

But I think to get your url setup is pretty easy. I can't find it since I have already done this.

But I think it should be somewhere in your youtube settings.

so I would click the tiny arrow at the top right corner of your youtube channel so it drops down options. Then pick "Youtube settings" if you can't see that, then just pick "settings". then underneath where it says your channel name and channel email. click "advanced" and look around in there. If you can't find anything that might allow you to change your url to your channel username.

I actually think your youtube channel is linked to your google+. If you un link them and create a youtube username (You have spaces any more, I suggest just spelling your same name without a space) then your url should pop up like a normal one.

good luck![DOUBLEPOST=1368820074,1368819995][/DOUBLEPOST]ya I found your channel, you are going to have to seperate your google+ account from your youtube account. It should be in the place I showed you in my post. Make sure to go into "youtube settings" and not just "settings" :D
 
if you can't find it, Ill link my channel to google+ again and unlink it ha ha. this way I can give you a good step by step XD[DOUBLEPOST=1368820930,1368820725][/DOUBLEPOST]better yet: Watch this :D This gives you a much better way of doing it.
