Thinking outside the box

RichGuitarGamer

I Love YTtalk
Ok so the title is abit obscure,

But I have stopped trying to do too much with regards to promoting my channel, I think/know that it is more important now to think outside the box - and lately I feel as if I'm doing "run of the mill" gaming videos.

I have noticed that my channel trailer video, has way more likes views e.t.c then my other videos and this is because the look/feel was completely different.

So my conclusion is probably to do less videos and think outside to box to make even better videos.

Well the magic is in the recording and editing the videos. So basically it is that and normally the trailer video has the most views kinda :)

lol true but I want to make videos that are not run of the mill and are the same as what everyone else is doing..thats the tricky part.. I need to be more creative :)

This whole YouTube thing is a big long learning process.

Tell me about it bro!

I would be lying if I said I wasn't getting slightly p****d off with trying to gather attention to the channel/improve quality and thinking outside the box..

I enjoy it soo much tho! that's the thing! I'm looking to revamp my 2nd channel make the look and feel way better. and making a schedule! :D

That sounds great! One cool thing about YouTube is that your channel can be anything you want it to be (within reason) and so many of us get trapped into thinking our videos have to be this or that, because that's what everyone else is doing, or what the experts say is what attracts viewers. But a few years ago, it was more wild and loose and I found it a lot more fun to pop in and see the weird, crazy, out of the box things people were doing before we were all so concerned with branding and image and SEO.

I agree with what you said about quality over quantity. Perhaps look to do more relevant videos? You know, do research on what it is people are watching, and try to fit it in with your normal content. Then hope that it trickles to your other videos.

I stopped trying to promote my channel a while ago and honestly it's a lot nicer not worrying about that.

My content is not the most original but I enjoy making what I make. Thinking outside the box is to much for me lol

Yes ive done that, the problem is my crew that I make videos with arnt keen on ideas such as "gta 2v2s" "GTA custome races" e.t.c which is really ******* me off...all they want to do is "GTA Hiests" which is sooo played out -_-

I suppose try finding other GTA YouTubers to do it with, then? People who are interested in growing their channels?
