Thinking of a brilliant idea then finding out it has already been done...

This is why I tend to think long and hard about my video ideas. Though, sometimes it is unavoidable and the very best you can do is make the videos as best you can. I mean really put some hard feckin' work in to it.

And make it better than the others!

There are a ton of people doing the same s**t, you gotta stand out the best you can.

Nothing is all that original anymore

Back in the day where I used my other Youtube Channel. I was going to make a video called "How to be Gangster". I slacked on it for a while but basically it was going to be me having a conversation with myself. One proper looking me and a gangster looking me. A quick little comedy bit. Then the day I decided to finish making the video Nigahiga posts a video with the exact same title.

Well.... crap. Never made the video.

Almost every premise ever has been done unless you do current events.
The goal is to find your own different and unique take on it so no one can accuse you of stealing.

This happens a lot for me, from parody ideas, to twists on magic tricks and even tricks I though I created myself. If you truly came up with the idea on your own it's okay or if you add your own twist to the idea.

Sometimes if the idea is really close to someone else's idea, you may want to contact them and explain, you came up with the idea and later found their similar video and ask permission to post yours still. Technically they probably wouldn't legally be able to take your video down, but it's better to get their permission so you aren't accused of stealing/copying their idea.
