Mother of Dragons...Wait...
Title is a bit misleading, sorry. No one actually ruined anything, I just needed your attention. Well, now that I have that, I must pose a question! Has a YouTuber that you admire deeply, or at least look up to, ever ruin that admiration you have for them in any way? Either by doing something you saw morally wrong, or even if it's something small, but so out of character it shatters your world?

An example for me would be Toby Turner. The guy basically made me want to become a YouTuber myself, and I look/looked up to him. Now that I'm a bit more busy with my own stuff, I don't really watch many of his videos; or anyone's for that fact. I have my select few I frequent, though I digress. Anyway, some time ago I saw Toby appear in another fellow YouTuber's vlog, and I heard him curse (oh noo), and he was drinking beer (oooh nooooo). Now, I'm fully aware that he's an adult, and most likely did these things. However, on his channel refrains from cursing, or doing anything "morally" wrong in his videos.

So, while it didn't completely ruin the admiration I had for him, it did throw me for a loop, and I was taken aback by it. What about you? Anything of that nature?
 
This hasn't happened to me with youtubers. It has however happened with childhood actors/presentors. For example d**k and Dom (British thing not sure if you know them) I saw them on a game show a while back and they swore and stuff and It was so weird
 
The thing is that Youtubers are still only human so they are still prone to these sort of mistakes. That said I ever had my trust ruined once on Youtube.

Oh, I know. I don't even consider it a "bad thing" or a mistake, just felt weird seeing him do those things. That's good you haven't had your trust ruined yet, it's like innocence lost, haha. I know a lot of people feel strongly about certain YouTuber's selling their companies, or brands. Calling them "sellouts" and completely abandoning them.
 
I honestly haven't had a true connection with any youtubers to care enough about their decisions with their channel or life. I just get sad when good channels stop uploading content
 
Yeah actually.. Roman Atwood! I love his vlogs and most of his pranks but one day he uploaded a "******* prank"... Basically he filmed himself saying he was stressed and had a lot of tension built up and asked his girlfriend to "relieve" him then when she went down he used a whoopie cushion (the "prank" part).. He has a kid with her and their vlogs are always family friendly, happy, fun, make you smile type vlogs, then he uploaded that prank video and it was so uncomfortable to watch... It was definitely in bad taste and he quickly took it down!

Haha, that's funny. I know Roman, I live in Ohio as well. I have drinks with him, Dennis, and Vitaly when they did a meet up in Columbus. We talked about YouTube n' stuff. Dennis asked if I wanted to work with him on some stuff, and I was like "Sure, man!" Told me to get in contact with him, and never heard back. This was about a year ago, haha.

Awesome! Yeah, Roman seems like a pretty dead on type of guy but that video just made me super uncomfortable :P I still watch and enjoy his videos almost everyday though, I just try to forget about that video! I don't really like Vitaly from what I've seen of him on YouTube but I don't know the guy so I won't pass judgement haha
