The secret behind top comments

Hi, guys. Maybe for you that are not as newbie as me, this is not a secret, but I wonder how youtube comments work lately. I tend to think that a comment get top because of the thump-ups. But I have noticed that some people get top comments during hours with no thumb up.

I have seen this on Miley Cyrus's videos. Whenever I enter to those videos, I found earlyriseband's comments at the top. Even thought they don't have thumbs-ups.

I've been wondering about this myself. I just thought maybe it was a computer problem on my end. :P

Someone, explain this. >_>
 
Hmmmmm..I thought it had to do with your most active subscribers? Those comments will show up first. So if she makes a lot of comments and doesn't get thumbs down etc, it will show up on top. Umm....here's where I heard about this:
There are swear words in the video...not sure if you're okay with that hehe.
 
I had thought that I had a problem with the oookies or sth like that but I tried on my mom's computer and with three diferent browsers and the same thing. will "earlyriseband" have paid for some privilege? This feature would help a lot to promote our channels
 
So if you leave a tool like toolboox commenting automatically every 30 minutes, soon or later you will get your comment always at the top? I thought if you did that you would be considered as spammer and you'd put your account at risk. I have seen the aforemention channel's comments in many videos and with a very short period of time between them. No, it is not the most recent comment. There's a little menu where you can choose to see "Top comments" or the "newest first".

See this, 8 hour as top comment, so it is not a recent comment.

It should be as Katherinejane001 said. The aforementioned channel is the most active subscriber.
 
Once I was pretty desperate to get my comment noticed, so I got all the channels that my brother and I had to up vote it and comment (five channels), and it worked :P
 
I researched this for hours and with my own results can confirm what I was looking at to be true. Age of account (how long it's been since creating it) and amount of posts (especially videos) on Google+ are what matter most.

So, this is the secret. Thank you for share the results of your research. I have to wait that my account get older and increase my participation on comments :)

Not true. You of all people should know this, having your "brother" spam every video talking about you hurting him for not liking your channel or something.
