Liking YTtalk
Ignore my silly title, I do it all the time. Hello once again fellow YouTubers, I would like to talk to you about a writing tool that I use to help get the creative juices flowing again! My Language Arts teacher taught me this a long time ago, and I still use it today. It's called free ranged writing, and you use it whenever you're having trouble writing a script, or thinking in general.
The only thing you need to do, is write. That's all there is to it, doesn't matter what it is, what it's about, or if it makes sense or not. Could be just a random assortment of words, doesn't matter. You do this for about five minutes or so, then stop. Look over what you had written down and see if anything sparks an idea. Maybe in the midst of your writing you already started a nice story, and want to finish it? Perhaps you see a key word that will trigger an idea? Who knows!
Hope this helps, it works nearly all the time when I do it! Good luck!
CJ, this is amazeballs and I love it! I do get writer's block when writing short films. My mind goes nuts when it happens! But I am definitely going to start using this strategy. I stumbled on this and, damn it, I'm glad I did!
Cheers!
