Hi YTtalk community,
I'm brand new to YouTube and am looking for advice on this lighting setup. I'm a CPA/real estate investor and plan on making videos on related topics. Given the nature of the content, I want to present it in a professional-esqe way. For the most part, I plan to shoot these videos in one of two ways:
1. Using a webcam at my desk
2. Using an infinite white background or green screen
After watching a bunch of YouTube videos, I came across one that shows this guy using 2 soft boxes to light the infinite white background and a ring light for the subject (himself). Do you think this a good setup, or should I go with two strobes for the background and the standard Key, Fill, and Hair light setup for the subject?
As for the webcam lighting, I was thinking of getting one of those small smartphone ring lights but don't know if it would fit on a webcam. Anybody have advice for webcam lighting too?
My budget for lighting is around ~$300 USD.
Thanks a bunch,
Tom
