The power of consistency?

PinProject

I Love YTtalk
so we hear this ALOT youtubers need to be consistent but the lightbulb never really lit up completely for me. I originally thought consistency is important for your viewers but now that I think more and more about it maybe consistency is important in terms of keeping the SAME TIME AND SAME DATE and that affects the YouTube formula!!
What do you all think?

This YouTube formula will continue to b a mystery!!

I think CONSISTENCY does matter a lot. But the channel does not depend on just this strategy. PROMOTION is needed to grow the channel faster. I used to upload my videos daily but I was not growing so fast and then I started promoting my videos excessively on social medias, now my channel is growing pretty fast. Consistency is good for channel activity, audience love those channels who upload regularly, it leaves a Good impression on the channel.

I think it's all about making sure you upload videos consistently and do it the same day/time.

Consistency is a major component of a channel if you want steady views and growth. I always use the example of your favorite TV show, whenever it's a new season it's always on the same day and same time. If it was on at different times and days every week not only would it be harder to watch but it might actually hurt your interests in the show as well. Having some type of schedule for your subscribers is a great way to let them know when you'll be releasing new content for them to enjoy.

I was always under the impression that YouTube gave new videos a "better chance" at getting views from the search engine than older videos. I'm not sure where I got that idea, but if it is true, then posting consistently will mean you always have at least one video that has a higher chance of people finding...

However, I haven't found this to be the case for my videos, so I just try to post videos when I can. I think it might partly have to do with channel type, too. I would imagine that a vlogging channel would benefit from consistency much more than a tutorial channel because tutorials tend to be much more searchable...

I totally agree that consistency is important for growing your subscriber and viewer basis, however if you are uploading at a certain time and day every week without putting out memorable content then there really is no point, the schedule is really only as good as the videos you keep with it.

I think consistency in timing is one aspect, but also consistency in quality is another. If you're keeping a schedule, that's great for your viewers to get used to and anticipate, but if it's lowering the quality of your videos, then you're going to lose their interest. Keep consistent times (every day if you can do that is fine, a few times a week is fine, once a week is fine, just make it regular) consistently improve your work, and keep to a consistent them that people can understand what your channel is about.
