I'm a girl!
I want this YouTube thing so badly it physically hurts sometimes...
And the fact that I am only at 168 subscribers and nothing happens in a days time is so painful to look at for me...
Please tell me I am not the only one... :)
 
I personally think you have the wrong mindset. You shouldn't do YouTube just because you want to become popular (assuming that's what you meant). You should do it becuase you enjoy doing it. My main channel 'youtube.com/thepurevesta' was something I did in my spare time and was something I was passionate about which was music. I never had any frustrating moments with it as I enjoyed doing it. I'm now at 2.8k subs with over 600k views. I mean this was because I had the mindset of sharing great music and entertaining others as well as promoting producers. I would never have gotten to that amount of subs and views (not sayings it's a lot but...yeah) if I'd of had the mindset of becoming successful as it would de-motivate me and cause me to not want to put in as much effort as I have done. Don't take this post the wrong way, I am merely just trying to help you :) Anyway, good luck with your channel :)

I think I am actually putting in too much effort... I am constantly thinking: what can i do now? where can I share? Who can I collab with? What videos can I make next?
 
I think I should just summarize what I mean or what I was trying to get across. Keep doing what you do and don't look at the subscriber count, look at the good content you've produced and your future plans with the channel to make it even better :) Stay positive and have fun! :)

Then one day that effort will pay off :) Just put in what you want to get out of it.

Cole and Marmalade, ShoKo, GoneToTheSnowDogs. Those three mainly.
EDIT: Actually, you can include Zoella too because it was by watching her years ago that I decided I wanted to do this too, but I didn't find myself interesting enough so I made a channel about my pets.
