The Grind

All I am reading here is: I am doing it for the numbers... Are you having any fun at all creating content? Because your OP just oozes "I want DEM views subs and likes". The fact you came out and said you did it the sub4sub way the first time just made the "I joined YouTube for a measure of personal worth" stamp stand out that much more.

Creating content can be a grind at times when you talk editing, but filming should never be that. Neither should posting, having fun on forums such as these and replying to your YouTube comments. If you don't get out of YouTube what you want to get out of it quit. There are too many things a person has to do that is considered a grind. Why add something that is supposed to be your hobby and a happy place?

I'm sorry,I don't know how you are getting that from my post? I always have enjoyed YouTube, and making content. I almost feel insulted by that. I said I used Sub4Sub with my old channel because I thought subs= success. I've since learned from that and that is why I created my new channel, a few months after shutting down my last. The "Grind" is referencing how new channels take a while to start up. Its not a literal "Grind", its like a "grind" in a video game where you are working hard towards a goal. Mine is to build an audience of people who share my interest, and to make a successful channel. Isn't that everybody's goal on YouTube,to get big?

I enjoy YouTube. Which is why I have a channel, and make content. If I didn't, I wouldn't be on YouTube, and honestly nobody should be on YouTube if they don't. I'm sorry to go off on a rant, but your comment offended me slightly.

Though, the grind is killing me. I'm very happy to have the views and subs I have for being so new, and I know it takes patience, but I wish it was faster xD

Hook, line and sinker.

And I would suggest you grow thicker skin. My comments are nothing compared to the trolls you'll encounter down the beaten path.

Okay, whats wrong with saying that? I don't think you have proven anything. I said I wish it would go faster, so what? By the way, this isn't my first rodeo (no pun intended), I've been on YouTube since I was 7. Not exactly with this channel, but with numerous different ones.

It's at least a lot more enjoyable than grinding for levels in MMO's :D
(MapleStory 2007-2010 was such a pain in the neck...)

Nothing. I don't get what's wrong with wanting viewers either. It's not a clear sign of doing YouTube for money/fame or anything. The reason why anyone puts anything on YouTube is so it is seen. And the more people see and appreciate your content, the more happy and proud it might make you.

sometimes it's hard, especially from having an older channel with a lot of subs, but try your best not to think about the number, you want to entertain the small few you have now, to the best of your ability, so they have no choice but to tell their friends about you

The fact that you can't let it go is enough for me. Good luck with the grind. I employ you to prove me wrong 2 years from now.

Sub4Sub never works for the exact reason that you mentioned. What's plauging me is that I have a video that is doing REALLY well and it brings in subscribers, but it's a science experiment video, and I like to branch out and do other types of videos, and they just don't watch the other videos. I kind of feel stuck doing science videos. But it's ok. I also do a daily family vlog for 6 years now, and that has been growing well also, so I'm working my way out of that stuck mode. Good to see that you're on the right path now!

Dude seriously,no need to be so rude. It was a simple post talking about something every new channel goes through. I can let it go,I just chose not to because I find that you are being incredibly rude when you don't have to. YouTube is a community, not a contest, and as the other people on here know, that is true. No need to talk down to other people, or make them feel bad. Anyways, best of luck to you and your channel.[DOUBLEPOST=1432926663,1432926599][/DOUBLEPOST]
