The Cancer of Lets Players

For me, it's not even the game that they do, but how the commentary turns out. I watch NintendoCapriSun, even if the game he's playing isn't of interest to me, because he's just interesting to me. I like hearing him talk. Even if you always do the same or similar games, if you're always interesting or informative, it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, the majority of these people just flat out suck, and aren't interesting to listen to at all. And don't get me started about people who just upload montages of them getting kills in a video game. Who cares about that at all? I listen for the commentator, and if you suck at that, I won't watch you.
 
I know what you mean, even though I do 'Let's Play's' myself. When I first started looking into making these sort of videos, I found all these people who offered so called great advice on how to get your channel up and running. They all had partnerships and all they did was Call of Duty. It was almost sickening. I can appreciate people showing how they play, but it's mostly the same footage every day with the same b******t commentary every day. Not to mention that Call of Duty is a game that requires next to no skill since not a single gun has recoil and all the maps consist of running around until you run into someone. How that franchise has people sleeping in front of gaming stores is completely beyond me.

I do enjoy RivalXFactor's videos for Battlefield because he gives genuine tips and advice on how to play the game, not to mention that Battlefield is actually a strategic game instead of a shoot em up. I learned a lot from his videos and I can tell it improved my game a lot!

As for Minecraft... yes Youtube is being flooded with it but at least no two videos are really the same. You can do SOOO many things in Minecraft, not to mention Tekkit, that I understand the need for people to show off what they have done and made. But everyone is trying to be the next Yogscast and that is becoming extremely frustrating, I agree.
 
To be honest, I just play what I want to play, if that means amnesia, then I will play amnesia (I don't play amnesia).

The bit that annoys me, or more makes me pity people, are those that are trying to be someone else, such as trying to be like The Yogscast or PewDiePie to name a couple. Be yourself.. you will be more successful.

I agree with that. If I see another PewDiePie or Toby rip off man. People are just not being themselves.

Its great to see that you have some great opinions about this.
 
Someone needs to stop these filthy Let's Players! I'm forced to watch their videos, and I hate it! Their viewers should be mine, because I'm the best!!!!!

People upload what they enjoy uploading. It's not really anyone's business to call them "cancer" for uploading videos if they're having fun doing it.
 
All my videos are minecraft. so what? You know why they are overplayed? Because they are good games and appeal to a vast audience of course there will be more CoD videos than ABC indie game that's just how it is. I record videos on games that I enjoy no matter how popular they are.

No offense man, but if you are uploading MW2, MW3, Battlefield clips on youtube are just feeding one of the big cancers of youtube gaming. Another cancer is Minecraft and Amnesia.

To make it easier, its Overplayed Overuploaded Crap.

I upload whatever I like and I could say there's too many people doing vlogs, why do you do it? The answer is because it's my channel and I upload the things I want no matter how many others are doing it. Also to call people a "cancer of Youtube" is a really dumb comment.
