The best way to get people//organize a flash mob??

Ok so the title is pretty self explanatory. How can I get people to do a flash mob/convince them that it will be fun? I plan to just go to random places and ask random people if they want to be involved, but I feel that this will prove unaffective. Any suggestions?
 
Well I do know up here in D.C. there are groups that do this all the time.. Perhaps go online and google flash mobs in your area. They might have an organization already, and you could join it and tell them your idea for what you want to do.
 
Yeah I already searched, not many hits, the biggest one is 51 members and they want to do a 'meditation' flash mob... a bunch of people meditating... not too much interest to me.

Meditation mob...wow.. next they should do a sleeping mob.
 
Hehehe... Ok well I wonder if callind dance studios in the local area and asking them if they are interested would be a good idea? Im not looking for anything too big lol but I do want it to be awesome. Should I give that a try? I feel as though I will be shot down pretty quick haha.

Hmm it is worth a shot. My wife teaches at a dance studio.. I think if they think you are legit they might help out. I could ask her her opinion.
 
Well that would be helpful, ask her for tips on things I should say, I aim to film the 'Making of" and then, of course, the eventual flash mob - would be open to all ages, date & place not yet known
