I've Got It
i'm fairly new to youtube, but have been getting pretty much no interest in my channel at all
i'm aware that the majority of youtube videos are gaming ones, but is there any vlog-specific advice you can give?
thank youuu :)))

Your video and editing quality is terrible for something made in 2013. Content and branding is everything!
People have such a short attention span and you need to have something that is eye catching and truly worth watching! Also there is 1000s of channels just like yours and people just do not want to see what you do in your everyday unless you stand out.

Take a look at Jenna Marbles first videos and see where she is now... All because of her looks and personality.
You seem to be quite good-looking! Use your looks and sex appeal to gain an audience from the beginning, since your editing and video quality is lacking.

Do not think that using a little sex appeal is branding you as a ****, because its not:)

All my upcoming vlogs will be shirtless.. and why? Because i am a ripped fitness model.

improving video quality is a bit of an issue for me since i have no camera apart from my iphone, and no money to buy one, and which part of the editing do you mean in particular?

Speaking as someone who made just over 100 episodes of a nigh straight vlog show, I can tell you it's hard work to break out of your direct circle of friends and reach new audiences.

Having a topic or theme that helps you stand out from the ocean of vloggers can help. Since my reboot, I've seen a terrific surge of new viewers and subscribers.

If sticking to a theme (or thinking of one that's outside of the box) is a bit much, you can use Google Trends http://www.google.com/trends/ to find hot topics to talk about on your show. Because everyone's searching about it, you'll see a modest increase of new viewers stumbling across your show - plus it challenges you to share your opinions on current events.

Whoa, this is way harsh. @rosie's video quality definitely could improve, but some people don't have the money to upgrade to something better, especially so soon after starting a channel. At this point, most people don't even know if they want to dedicate more time and money to YouTube.

I totally disagree. Everyone can tell when someone is using their body to get attention, and it's entirely possible to gain an audience AND retain your self-respect. I'd rather have people who actually listen to what I'm saying in my videos, not just stare at my body the whole time! Women (and men!) have so much more to offer than just a body.

I think that you could talk about topics that interest people. As Douglas said you can use several resources to find which topics are the most popular ones nowadays. Good luck :)[DOUBLEPOST=1380222405,1380222221][/DOUBLEPOST]I totally disagree. I agree with you, those youtubers called "boobtubers" or something like that are a clear example of this. Please just watch them because they want to see cleavage, their videos aren't interesting at all but people watch them coz they show boobs O.O. I guess that everyone wants people to watch their videos because they are actually interested in what they have to say, not because they are showing off their bodies.

"Boobtubers"? Oh gosh, that's my new favorite term!!

I didn't mean to sound mean, but i am always honest about my opinions and its up to the individual to like or dislike what i say.

First.. what editing software are you using? Since it might be your converting and rendering settings that messes with your quality and if your iphone is iphone 4 or anything more high end, then you should be able to film in 720pet a wider picture by putting your iPhone on the side, because those black borders are annoying.

And i completely disagree to not using your looks to your advantage.. As i said.. look at Jenna Marbles videos and no.. she is not a BoobTuber. :)
