That Juice Network Opinions

ConnersCraft

I Make Video Games... :)
If you did not know, DJ Keemstar is starting a new gaming network called That Juice Network. He claims he has started this new network because he feels that gamers are getting bad deals with the major networks in the community. This all seems great, but he has yet to release any information as to what MCN they will be operating under (or if they have their own), what benefits they will have, etc. Also, I thought Keemstar was banned from operating MCNs a few years ago when he got in trouble for selling partnerships for $50 when they were still hard to come by. Does anyone have any information as to what MCN they are operating under and what are your opinions about the new network? According to Twitter, they have signed a few fairly large channels (couple thousand+ subs) already, so there has to be some incentives. Here is the website also, but they are not releasing anything on it until tomorrow. http://thatjuice.com

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that before, I would be rich.
haha true, but
Well this is amusing, haha.

I would not trust anything that person does.
haha yea I would not trust him unless he has a backing by someone I trust. I would never miss out on an opportunity (if this becomes a good one) just because of someone's history though.[DOUBLEPOST=1390627401,1390626098][/DOUBLEPOST]
According to twitter they have had over 500 applications already... I applied just cause I wanted to see what it is about, and I was accepted. It will be interesting if this turns into anything...

Well on the network side of things, 80% under Forela, so it won't be bad.

and Forela will allow you access to AudioMicro etc.

As far as Keemstar goes, we'll just have to see if he's matured after his last network experience :D[DOUBLEPOST=1390627449,1390627403][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yea :D Almost every network says that, even the ones that take 40-50%

Yea I assumed it would be under Forela, because his channels are all partnered under Forela.

The thing is--history says a lot about people. Just as I wouldn't trust someone who has molested children in the past to run a daycare business, I would not trust someone who has had serious network issues to run their own network; not to mention his unprofessional character and tempermental behaviors off and on videos.

Something tells me those "500 applicants" are just people who like the person and are willing to overlook the or do not know about the issues and his personality faults.
I'm imagining people complaining to him about network support and getting a big "FU, screw off".

But that's just me. Just be sure to do your research, as you would with any other networks, and make sure to read every single line and understand the contract, if you decide to join. If this turns out to be a good network for you, good thing you saw the opportunity. :thumbsup2:

I do agree that it is probably mostly just his fans as he does have close to 100k subscribers, but its the larger channels in there that make me somewhat interested. Anyways, I am under contract so I couldn't partner with him even if I wanted to. I just applied cause I wanted to read his contract and see if there is really anything special about it. :)

80% under Forela wouldn't be bad at all, but he can't honor it because he uses the standard Forela contract. But for all I know he could be getting an 80% contract written up, only time will tell.

They just posted their contract earlier today on http://thatjuice.com/terms At first glance, it seems to be an 80% contract with a 3 month lock in. Forela is not mentioned in the contract what so ever, but I would trust that Shane is right. My only problem is that they try to make people sign the contract before they are even accepted. That is ridiculous in my opinion.
