Thanking subscribers?

I definitely don't think there's anything wrong with doing that. It's a nice gesture. But I also don't really think it's necessary. They're subscribing because they like your content. You're the one providing them with something. Also, this might work when you have one or two subscribers a day, but once you start getting bigger, you wouldn't possibly be able to keep up with this! :D You'd be spending so much time writing to people.

Indeed you make a good point, guess it was such a shock to the system to have subscribers I went around thanking each one of them, but you are right about the spending too much time writing to people. I'll have to see how things play out, thank you for your view :)
 
I do, and I know of a few others that shoutout their subscribers, which I think is a good thing since it shows your appreciation for people that come to watch your content. :) However, if you do get a large amount (beyond counting), then you might give a general shoutout since it would be hard to track every single one especially if there are hundreds or even thousands. :P

Well I'm a long way off that level of subscribers but indeed, if I did get to that sort of level I would most likely just thank people in general in videos or what not as I feel subscribers should be thanked as they are precious!
I also enjoy the conversation with others and gaining feedback from these thank you messages to subscribers, it is good to talk to those who watch you so you can grow :)

Yeah hitting the sub button is a nice confidence boost, but to me when someone views and makes a comment I'm so much more happy. On one of my videos I went off and listed some of my original viewers and subs and thanked them. I'll do that again once I hit another milestone and keep giving thanks to those that kept watching me consistently.

That's a good idea you have there thank you for that! And indeed it does feel good when anyone interacts with the videos I produce, it's like instant payment for the work :)

Yeah it's the whole, sub numbers don't actually represent how many active viewers you have. People go inactive, or they just stop watching sometimes. So I rather just reward those that stick it through and help build an audience for me.
