Telling people

congrats on your fullscreen partnership...i tried with 19 subs knowing i wouldnt get it just to try :D
Gladly appreciated..just keep trying and maybe you will get accepted if you are really interested in fulfilling the contract i had to try 3 times and after that i was accepted

I had to tell my parents because i wanted to get partnered, if it wasnt for that, i wouldnt tell them. But i have to admit if way better not having to hide it... Outside that, only my closest friend know

I have never told anybody about my channel, because I"m too embarrassed to tell them about it. It's kind of weird in my opinion, I don't know. You could post it, and then maybe get a bit of traffic, but how many would really watch it regularly? I guess it depends on how many facebook friends you have.

I started off by posting on my facebook, so the majority of the views on my videos are from friends and family. I find it's a nice way for them to hear from me or have a "conversation" with me. When I see them in real life they always want to talk about the topics I covered in my videos.

For those friends and family that I don't see often, I guess it's nice for them to hear from me this way and know I'm still alive haha.

I agree with the comments above, if you feel uncomfortable with it then maybe ease your way in with small groups of friends first. Set up a friends list with your closer friends and just share with them until you get the feedback you need.

I told my close friends but it would not make much sense to talk about it with my family because they are not very interested in any internet related topics and my mother even is a bit afraid of the dangers and downsides of the internet I think. But if they were interested in stuff like this I would love to talk about it and even teach them how they could start making videos because I love to create stuff - be it an online video or just a poem written on good old paper - so I am passionate about everything that I can create and even share if I like to.
