Switching Video Editing Software!

Premiere. No Question. I made the switch from Windows Movie Maker to Premiere. And learnt enough to allow me to edit videos. Animate text with game and use music properly within a few weeks. Premiere is much easier to use. Just need to find a good introductory tutorial that teaches you the basic hotkeys and functions.

In my opinion, Premiere and Powerdirector 11 are both the best... I've tried Vegas, PD 11, Premiere, and some other program that sucked. If you are a student, you can get 70% discount on PD 11! Try the demo of Director's Suite, I like it.
I made these with Color Director, it's an add-on to PD 11 when you get the director's suite.

Look up Vigor2001, he has some good tutorials. I learned a few things about PD 11 and Premiere from watching his videos.

WOAH. That is.... AMAZING.
Now I must seriously consider between PD and Premiere!
Those photos took me only a couple minutes each, I could have zoomed in and made it perfect but I'm lazy, lol! Try out PD 11 man, it's a good program. Like I said, if you're a student, 70% off. I am working on a video using Color Director where I mounted my Gopro to my bike. I've made it so everything through the wheel looks normal, and everything outside of the wheel is doing some trippy color effects. I'm trying to figure out if you can make special effects isolate to one section, but I have to buy the program because my demo is up. Try it though, I think you'll like it. Watch vigor2001 if you want tutorials on it, he shows you how to use the effects on PD11 as well as Premiere. I've also sent him some messages asking for help and he actually responds too.[DOUBLEPOST=1373854277,1373854237][/DOUBLEPOST]

If you want to see some of the video effects, I have 6 videos I made with PD11. It goes from the "Dalmatian Battle" to "Slow Motion Belly Flops". One of the Dalmatian battles has a bunch of random effects I just threw in there to test them out. The ones before that are Premiere, I didn't really use very many effects with Premiere for some reason.

I personally made the switch from Sony Vegas to Premiere and I had a lot of trouble going back. Premiere makes everything so easy xD

Where do I get the 70% discount? I can't seem to find an option...

I haven't heard much about Powerdirector 11. Can you share some details with me, perhaps in a private message? I haven't chosen my editing software yet. Perhaps you could persuade me :)
