Swearing in video?

When you swear a lot, or even once, it immediately lowers your standards. Swearing doesn't make you cool or anything. Your reputation goes down. I highly advise you NO!
Well this I disagree with. They're just words too and in the right circumstance swear words just work.

I never swear because of younger kids who watch me and I don't feel like they should have to be exposed to that. To each their own though.

I tried to do my videos PG and realized it just wasn't me. My rants are much more ridiculous when they're laced with filthy words.

GO FOR IT!

I'm producing a video at the moment and I feel that a few swear words would make it a lot better, however I'm not sure of how "legal" is that on Youtube? Will I be able to monetize or will I run into different problems?
look up "jenna marbles" on youtube all your questions will be answered.

Agreed, if you're p****d off and you're saying things like "Gosh Darn" or "Doo Doo head", people are going to be laughing and not even paying attention.

It's legal. Swearing isn't illegal, it's up to parents to turn on filters and monitor what younglings see so nobody can really stop you :) I monetise and I have swearwords in two series I do (F*cking with Far Cry 3 and Let's Build Sh*t in Minecraft).

It's better to censor as I have above in TITLES (and on this forum please hehe), but swear like a sailor in your video if that's your choosing.
If swearing was wasn't legal, are friend Frankie wouldn't be around anymore. xD

As far as I'm concerned, the little box you can check in the settings menu that will put a three second warning about mature content in your video is all you need. Use it as your discretion and remember that it's better to put that warning up yourself than have someone flag your videos repeatedly and force you to have the warning.

Personally I do swear (but sparingly) in my videos and my old co-commentaries with my friend, however I will use my audio editor to bleep out any racial, sexual, sexist, or homophobic slurs that Ricky, my friend who I let do commentaries with me, says. He's 17 and spent most of his teenage life browsing /b/; sometimes he just doesn't know any better. I make a point to stop him and talk to him about what he says when the mic is running after every episode to try and teach him about moderation and tact.

Question. When someone reports your video as inappropriate and it gets "age restricted". Does it mean there is now a warning on the video? Or do they have to log I to view it?
