Super Slow Motion Cameras

Does anybody know of a high resolution super slow motion camera that doesn't cost thousands of dollars? My GoPro can only get up to 240FPS at WVGA, 120 FPS at 720p, 100 FPS at 960...... , I'm looking for something more around 1000+ FPS and at least at 720p at that speed. The cheapest one I see that has high resolution so far is about $5000!

Yes that is about right. You get what you pay for. Wait a few more years and it will come down in price.. 2 years ago the cheapest was about $10,000. If you just need it for one project you can always look into renting one.

I'd like to get my own... For now I guess I'll just use my GoPro... If I suddenly get a viral video or something, maybe I can justify buying an expensive as high speed camera since it's Youtube money...

There is also a program that does a similar effect you have to run your footage through it and it gives it the appearance that you have a higher FPS.. I can't recall the name right now but it is way cheaper than a camera.. You might need AE to run it though.

Here is one test I did on a free program called Slomovideo

Only the expensive cameras will give you the best footage to achieve such effects. The camera that 'The Slow-Mo Guys' use on YouTube is mega expensive!
