Super frustrated :/

Posting Mad!
Hey everyone, hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Years.
Now I just wanna preface this by saying, compared to a majority of people, I've done very well on YouTube in the last year, and I'm very thankful and happy that I have. That being said, even though I've done well, I feel like I've hit a wall and my growth has stopped. I have no idea why, but since the December holidays are over, I've dropped about 25% of my overall views. I could always count on getting around 17k-23k a day and now for some reason I'm going down to 12-13k. I know that's still really good, but it's frustrating to work so hard at something and then it start to decline and you have no idea why.

I haven't changed my content, I feel like I've gotten better if anything. I'm just not understanding why things are going down now :/ Anyways, just wanted to rant. I've found YTtalk to be a good place for encouragement and support :)

With the Holidays over it could just be people having a bit less time on their hands your views will drop a little, I doubt its the content that's thrown people off but time constraints :) I wouldn't worry to much over it, you are still doing very well and things will pick up again as they do :)

I hope that's it! Thanks for the kind words :)

One word: Christmas.

During the festive period, less people are online due to spending time with family or working the extra hours in order to earn extra money for sweet tasty presents. So, it's highly likely your growth won't be as great as you'd like.
However, January receives the most views of the entire year, mainly because the "worst" is over with, but there are still adverts everywhere, unboxing videos and a shedload of sales. So, in theory, it should pick up for you again soon.

Yeah I'm guessing this one is all about the holiday vacation being over, things should pick up in a few weeks as students fall back into their bad habits of watching YouTube when they're supposed to be studying!

As a large channel have you ever noticed a dip after the holidays?

Also, I wanted to add that I'm super freakin' impressed at how quickly you've grown on here. I remember seeing you a couple of months ago, not long after I joined the forums myself, and now look at you go! Keep it up! Hopefully I'll be on your level one day.

Yes, there's a nice peak in December as kids are off from school and we take a hit on views after that. Usually I brace for about a 30% drop and your numbers seem consistent with that.
The good news is that it has nothing to do with the quality of your videos, it's a factor beyond your control that will right itself over time.
