Summer In The City discussion

Spriorite

Liking YTtalk
So as we all know, SitC 2014 has just finished :(

Was anyone there? What did you think of the whole event? The atmosphere? Venue?

Who did you get to meet? Who did you not manage to meet?

Did you see any panels? Which ones did you enjoy?

Let's start a discussion if possible and share stories

I was there both days :) I think the whole event was great and well organised, some people thought the meet and greets were poorly organised but I didn't think so
(although I did not meet anyone, I went for the panels, live performances and just to meet people.)

I only saw two panels one was about the creative process behind making videos which was really interesting since you got different youtubers POV

The second was a discussion for smaller youtubers which was the highlight of my weekend, and was very motivational :)

I was there for the creators day as well as the whole weekend. Made some amazing contacts and I thought the panels were overall pretty damn good as well!!

I agree with you Connor about the meet and greets, I didn't attend any myself but they looked pretty ramshackle.

How was the smaller youtuber panel? I didn't manage to see that as the queue was out of the door :(, did you learn anything useful?

Next year (not sure if there was already something planned, but I didn't notice it) perhaps we should have a meet up for the YTTALK people that are going? Could be good fun :)

How was the smaller youtuber panel?

It was pretty good, it was a Q/A and they answered a few basic questions but it was good since everyonr just had a laugh and joked around. The best thing about it was the atmosphere because everyone in the room was part of thge smaller youtube community :D

And Also, a YTtalk meet up would be very interesting :p

I really hope there are some full panels uploaded to YouTube. I always enjoy watching them (especially if they are giving out useful advice for upcoming You Tubers)

I went on Sunday, it was my first youtube event, and thought the panels were really good, the meet and great however I was not impressed I went 2hrs before and were told all the tickets where gone, as for the smaller youtube panel, it was actually there I heard about this site as someone mentioned it. Would defiantly like to go again next for more days now I know how it all works

I have heard from two people so far about YTtalk being mentioned, does anyone have a recording of the smaller YouTuber panel? I have searched through a lot of footage but my searches have been fruitless :D Welcome aboard :)

Well recording would of been hard to do there cos it was so darkly lit but I'm sure the had their own cams in there maybe they will put it up eventually
