Hi everybody!

Tax free weekend is at the end of the month for the upcoming school year. I want to take advantage of this holiday to buy a new computer. My price range is between $300 and $500 dollars. Earlier this year I bought two new external hard drives to backup my YouTube videos along with other content. Now I need a new computer as my current one is decent, but has seen its best days.

Please offer suggestions on labtops.

Thanks!

Since you're looking for a laptop I'd say your second best bet would be eBay, while your first best choice would probably be Craigslist.

Go on eBay and search "i7 gtx" input your price range in the options and see what you get, and pick one that you like. Make sure there is at least 8gb of ram, and if possible try to get one with an ssd

Does it have to be a laptop?
Because, if you're decent at techy stuff (or have friends/family who are decent at techy stuff), you could build a pretty decent desktop for about that much (especially with the RX 480, and GTX 1060/70 now)

I once saw an accurate facebook post saying that building a computer is more like putting a lego set together than it is like engineering. It's so true. I built mine and it was easy peezy.

I might have high standards but $300-500 for a laptop seems very very cheap i wouldn't be able to find a decent laptop for that price range that could live up to my standards. Deff wouldn't recommend getting a brand laptop instead order a custom build laptop. I know alot of ppl from states prefer doing that from originpc website and if you're from UK then pcspecialist is good. But if i were you i'd definitely save up more before getting a new laptop even for a custom built desktop pc that seems quite cheap to me idk, might just be my opinion.

I would say if you wanna have a decent tech for your Youtube video making then I would suggest you build a custom desktop instead! It's cooler and way better

Seriously, stop advising me to build a computer. I did not go to school to learn how to build a computer. Be real people. The average person does not know how to build a computer.

My price range is limited because of my income and I have small channel without zero payments as of today. I working with what I have available to me. Please keep in mind that not every person can afford an expensive computer.

Try looking at Lenovo ThinkPad laptops. I have used them before and they perform very well!
