Suggested Videos: Why???

This is a rant about suggested videos.

Why, oh why, do they suggest videos that I've already watched???

Why, oh why, do they fill up my suggested videos with videos that are all from the same channel that I'm already subscribed to???

Why, oh why, OH WHY, do they suggest that I watch MY OWN VIDEOS???

Why, youtube? WHY???

End of rant.


tl;dr - WHY???
 
I actually kind of like that they do, maybe if there was a way to turn it off though. Idk sometimes when I watch a really good video I completely forget the title and can never find it again by searching, but if I go through my old searches and looking through the suggested videos occasionally I find the string of videos that led me to that one vid.
 
It's based on you're viewing and search history and tags of videos you watch at that time. Turn off the history in the settings to change a few of these things
