some people have
there subscriptions set to private so you cant see them in the box but some people also dont have accounts my first sub didn't have an account :L

As an alternative explanation, the list of subscribers is not complete if you have a large channel. It caps out at like 1000 or something. This might be related, or do one of the account creation settings/privacy settings as previously mentioned.

Exactly, like my mom uses just her email and password through gmail to watch and sub to channels.. she never created a "channel name" per-say. So it says she doesn't have a youtube yet.
