Subscribers Asked Me To Change o.O

Don't worry about it .
So in these days i'm doing a walkthrough for Deus Ex Human Revolution without getting ever caught and without killing anyone ( Mainly because it's the way i play and then there are achievements for that . ) . And i got a decent amount of views on the first video ( lately i've been getting close to nothing lol ) and then i got some messages from 17 ( not one or two ) of my subs asking me to change few things . And all of them asked me to change my attitude and be more like PewDiePie . First they asked me to do commentaries in English and i was ok with it because i wanted to start one day . Earlier you start , earlier you get better , right ? So i changed language to my commentaries losing some italian subscribers but slowly gaining english speaking subs . So i was pretty much ok with it . I mean , doing italian commentaries just limits my audience . In this way i can entertain more people and stuff .
But now they are asking me to change myself . And to be honest i can't change .
I mean , PewDiePie , i don't like his videos so i can't even do something like that , right ?
It would mean doing something that i can't stand .
I'm the opposite of PewDiePie . I'm a calm person . When i record i get some beers , i prepare few joints and just play my game . It's the way i enjoy doing things . That's why i enjoy stealth games where i have to be patient and stuff , where i don't have to rush things and doing fast decisions . And in my way i'm funny . More of a druggy kind of funny if you know what i mean . And yeah , since english isn't my first language ( not even second or third lol ) most of the times i can't say what i'm thinking because it doesn't sound right .
Plus add the high factor and you get some messed up english .
I didn't answer them yet . They messaged me yesterday and today but i don't know what to say .
I don't want to be mean . If it was a friend of mine i would just say " f**k you , keep watching my videos and shut up lol " but they are not my friends . I don't even know them . The only time i "talked" with them directly was when they subscribed ( i send a message to every new sub asking few things and thanking them ) so i don't know how to talk to them .
So yeah , any suggestions ?
 
Well if you ask me I think you should upload for yourself rather than trying to please a few people who want you to change. For a start do not copy pewdiepie just be yourself or your not really getting anywhere.

With language that is a tad more tricky since you can assume alot of youtubes user base will speak english making views easier to gain.
 
Just ignore them! You will eventually gain subscribers that watch your videos FOR you. Please don't change, be yourself.
I find it sooooooo annoying when a youtuber is trying to imitate another one. And obviously, it shows.
So keep doing what you do. Don't change a thing.
Eventually, those who want you to change will go away and only the ones that want to see you will stay.
 
Basically it comes down to one question.

Do you value your subs more than your values?

If you value subs more, change, put on the act.
If you value your values more and play to enjoy playing, not to gain subs, then don't change.
 
it is your channel dude, if people want to watch Pewdepie then they should go and watch him. do things your own way, and enjoy what you do, that's the whole reason we are here.
explain to them that you really enjoy the content you are making, and that to change it unwillingly would be of detriment to your channel... they obviously like your vids or they wouldn't have subscribed... you may even find that they say this just to strike conversation without having actually thought about what they are saying.
just enjoy your channel dude.

Oh well , that's obvious . I'm not going to change for anyone . And when i record i'm so high i wouldn't remember to act like someone else . So i got that covered =D .
For the language , i'm gonna get better . I'm good with languages . I can speak "perfect" italian , good spanish , french and slovak and a decent german . And i learned them just by having to speak them . Few months and i'll be able to speak a decent english so i'm not worried about that . And in 2 weeks i'm leaving for london so i'll have to communicate with everyone in english so it'll do .
But i still don't know how to answer my subs lol .

Well , as i said , i'm not going to change . But i don't want to ignore them . But i simply don't know what to say D: .

Of course my values are more important than my subs .
I don't want to change . I just want to answer them without being mean . And that's hard for me lol .

Well , i'm already proud of my gaming skills D: .
I had my prove by playing in pro teams . I don't need youtube to prove that .

Maaaaaan if i stop doing drugs i'll stop being myself .
And it's one way to relax from my job .
I just blaze it , log on teamspeak , play with my mates , insult them and laugh like a retard .
And my health ? Well , my friend , my health is already bad and quitting weed and alcohol won't help . So yeah .
