Subscriber to View Ratio - HELP!

Hello!

I don't know what to do, it's so frustrating! I have almost 1100 subscribers and upload videos every thursday and sunday, but I only get a fraction of that number in views on uploaded videos.

Check out my latest video, it only has 38 views at the moment. That's 3.5% of my subscriber count! It really bothers me as similar channels receives around 10% of their subscriber count.

It feels like I have done a poor job with the foundation of my channel. Why is this happening and how can I resolve it? I want to pursue YouTube, but I want to make sure I have a good foundation first.

Note: Yes, some of my videos has a lot of views, but focus on the recently uploaded one as this video is pure subscriber views. I would really appreciate some help here. Thanks!
 
I've seen this a lot. It was today I saw channel with 500,000+ subs and video views 1000-3000. I just don't get that. I won't help you here I'm just going to bump since I'm interested in answers.
Only thing that comes to my mind is that not all of your subs likes all the videos. 50% would watch video, another 50% wouldn't. Another people are interested in this, others are interested in that video.
I'm not sure if I'm right but ya.. let's hear from others
 
Your title may have something to do with your lack of views. When I see a title suggesting a horror movie or ghost story and get something totally different in the thumbnail, I'm unsure what the video's about. If I weren't examining your video just now for the purpose of feedback, I would have just skipped over it in the pursuit of something *seemingly* more relevant. Also, I noticed that your video was part "7" out of a nonexistent series. Where are the other six parts?

It happens man. When you get a lot of views on one video and people subscribe to that one video more than likely you will have a fair share of dead subs.

Happened to me when I had a stupid little undertale video up. It got over 400,000 views and I gained a lot of traction. It's been half a year and i'm slowly starting to get normal views to sub ratio.

But like others said work on your title and make sure your tags are right :)
 
Yeah I have 600 subscribers, yet my newest video only has 50 views. When I make a video about something like Pokemon Go, it got 37k views.

Now as a viewer, there have been times when I'm in the mood for watching YouTube videos from my subscribed channels list and skip over some videos because they just don't interest me, or sometimes just don't have the time to watch every video I'm subscribed to. Sometimes I will go back and watch them a week or month later because I forgot about it.

School is starting up for younger kids too, so the immediate views from your subscribers could decrease. I think in the long run you'll get that +1 view per subscriber it just might take some time.
 
I kinda found a solution, and it's probably the most obvious one. Most of my viewers found me through the DIY videos (most viewed videos by far). Last week I uploaded a video of my drone and received 40 views after 24 hours (3.5% of my subscribition count). However, last night I uploaded I true DIY video and the video already has 120 views (10.5% of my subscription count) after only 12 hours.

Just wanted you all to know in case you ever find yourself in the same situation. Go to analytics and see what video brings the most subscribers. Make a similar video and see if your subscriber to view ratio increases.
