Subscriber Spotlight? Good or Bad?

I have seen subscriber spotlights and competitions so i thought i would have a go... but will it benefit for both my channel and subscribers? Or will hate come from doing so?

Please help and comment on what you think :)

I think it is a great idea, I hope everyone else does because it's a really good thing to do
 
Recently we released a short video announcing our partnership, and in it we just thanked a few people who had shown their support over time. Though I felt guilty that I had left some out, but that wouldnt effect you if you had a format that focused on a few people at a time.
 
I geuss so! I just want to make sure that it isn't the only thing people come to my channel :L as in they subscriber JUST so i give them a shootout
 
I've been told involving your audience is a great thing to do! I agree! You could juts do normal shout outs or have them create video responses to your video and you could feature them in the thanking video.

Ok cool :D i was just thinking of a way to make the audience not bored whilst doing so!
