Subscriber Plateau

If I were you I would try to turn getting subscribers into a game... Ok I know this is gonna sound a lot like Monica talking..

But please hear me out.

What I suggest is making it a ''game'' to get subscribers, or followers on twitter.

So for example when you know you have 1-2 hours to spend. Set down a stop watch and try do everything you can to get more subscribers on youtube. This could be just spending 1-2 hours on facebook advertising for your channel non stop. Or it could be spent getting more followers on twitter, which hopefully could translate into more followers on youtube.

After you have finished spending 1-2 hours to advertise your channel, wait a day and see how many subs that gives you. Next time you play the game again you try to beat your previous record!

DOESNT THIS SOUND LIKE FUN??? Wow... just think I went full Monica Geller... Never go Full Monica Geller.

You seem to do reviews, which is a good path to take. I would probably try to review the newest, most hype game as soon as possible. Why? Because there is a chance you can get ahead of the curve. If you release your video when there is only 4 other videos around, when people look for the game, they will see 5 videos and there is a chance that the viewer might see one or two of those videos. It can be your video. As they say, "early bird gets the worm."

Point is if you can do it, you can stay on the front page of search results for a bit, even if the bigger youtubers release theirs later. My first most watched video got popular that way and got me a modest boost in views and subs. It is hard, because sometimes people (bigger youtubers) have early copies and review copies...

I reached a plataeu doing LP, but then I switch to doing mod reviews and I had exponential growth at the beginning. Now it is more linear. You are on the right path. Just pick your games carefully and do some planning.[DOUBLEPOST=1412801999,1412739765][/DOUBLEPOST]My let's plays is mostly filler for the week until I can produce next week's episode of my review to be honest...

My reviews get 2k-150k views, while my let's plays get maybe 150-1k views. It sucks, but I'll take what I can get I suppose...

But yeah, you need to get a few "hit" videos out in order to gain subs/views/fans.
That sounds like a really good idea, the only problem with doing new games is that I usually like to play a game for a while before reviewing it. Thanks for the advice though! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1412876866][/DOUBLEPOST]

Glad you think so :).

Haha sorry if the explanation behind the game was kind of crap. But it seriously is a really good way to become better at promoting yourself. That one hour of trying to get subscribers, and then getting the feedback really does teach you a lot about what works and what does not work.
