Subscriber Envy

I've been guilty of this on more than one occassion, haha, even with people who aren't YTbers, I find things to be envious of. (Some people are just so skilled at art, how do they do??? ;o; ) I just have to remind myself to take a step back and try to focus on myself, look at where I've come from and how far I've grown. It can be difficult, I'm not always successful, but it can help make you feel better sometimes xD
 
Haha I feel that all the time especially when I'm a YouTuber who creates music covers, compared to those over 100k subs!
 
Nah, not really. The whole "why him/her and not me" question can be answered quite easily.
A: That person has been on YouTube for a long time and got there over time
B: That person has the X factor and shot up like crazy (aka, that person is likable for no apparent reason other than being themselves)
 
I get the envy and also just confusion, when I see people with a massive subscriber base and just sub par videos
 
Not really, though sometimes I'll see someone popular who's videos are alright and similar to *insert smaller YTer here*, and wonder "why is this person so popular when *insert smaller YTer here* does it so much better?".

Is that what we call... vicarious envy? :eek:
 
I go though this now and again sometimes i even unsubscribe from people who get ahead of me in sub count its a really bad habbit of mine
 
I don't really have that feeling when it comes to the really big channels, but sometimes I get that feeling when I see someone all of the sudden jump in subs or views when they were around the same place I was. Then I think, why couldn't it have been me?
 
It's frustrating but if you just do your best it come with the time, just keep uploading good videos and after a wile people gonna see it and you are in :)
