We used to take months off between videos and it didn't affect the views of the existing videos at all.
Look at Epic Rap Battles of History, they take months off at a time.
 
I would be interested to see those statistic in my Analytics on YT.
% delivered to subscription feeds with reasons
-not logged in
-lack of engagement
-too many other subscriptions to make the top etc,...

Pretty hard for me to plan an attack against an unknown villian.
 
Sometimes there are technical glitches with the subscription feeds and viewers may not be notified of a video. These tend to happen from time to time, but it has nothing to do with an algorithm filtering your subscription feed.
 
Hmm, interesting, regardless of whether or not this is real. If anything, it's a kick up our asses to keep us posting content consistently!
 
I make animations and it hasn't affected me. My videos continue to gain views into millions. Perhaps this affects certain types of videos where the output is a lot of videos/lenght like letsplays/liveblogs?
