Subs vs views question

I Love YTtalk
Hello peeps,

I see some of the posters here does have a channel with a large number of subs, while their vids are being viewed by a much smaller amount of viewers.

My question: Doesn't it when you have for example 1000 subs, your vid count should be at least around that number, even after months?

Nope. Sadly, people subscribe and don't watch their videos. That's how YouTube works for the most part.

Usually if someone has like 2000 subs and only 20 - 100 views on most of their videos it's because they have done sub for sub which is basically where one youtuber subscribes to another and vice versa..
This is bad though.

HOWEVER.
Sometimes you just get spam accounts subscribe in the hope you will subscribe back to them.

E.g, pewdiepie has 34million subscribers and 1-4million views on his videos.
KSI has 9million subs and 100k - 2m views per video
Markiplier has 5.7 million subs and 400k - 2m views per video

So it's not surprising :p Viewers will pick and choose what videos to watch xD

It depends on a lot of factors.
people that post very regularly (multiple times a day) are likely to have much more subs than views per video.

I upload anywhere from once ever 2-6 months and get a lot more views per vid than total subs.

Thanks, it seems quite logical the way you put it. :) I saw your channel and your frequency of publishing your vids, it's amazing you got that much viewers and subs!

Anyone who has 2000 subs and only 100 views per video is putting out bad content, that´s why they´re not getting more views. Anyone with good content and 2000 subs should have at least 500 views per video. If you don´t, you have only yourself to blame.

Thanks! but it took a LONG time, I've been on youtube from almost the beginning of the site. Lots of things have changed since then.
