Subs Keep Fluctuating, Need Advice

Hey guys, so far this community has been the bomb when it comes to resources and help! I would like someone with some YouTube experience to check out my channel and maybe give me some advice to help me figure out why I am losing subs and also a review of my channel trailer and my latest video which is a walkthrough/let's play hybrid for the game Grand Theft Auto 5. First video is the Prologue/First Mission.

Congrats on your success thus far! Here are my humble observations:
  • I like the banner and the color themes
  • I see you play different types of games but at first glance it appears you have mainly minecraft videos. And that first glance could be a deal breaker. It looks like your recent non-MC videos have gotten you much better view counts. Yeah, play what you want and play what's fun. But people might need more variety and maybe something they haven't played or seen an LP of lately.
  • I'd shoot for steady uploads if you're not doing that already. If after a few days you suddenly appear in someone's feed again and they click over and you're not playing anything they wanna see, they might unsub just to clean up their feed.
In regards to your channel trailer
  • Nice editing and explaining of your channel's duel purpose
  • Short and sweet the way it should be
  • In a rather (possibly) harsh, yet honest statement, you mention unique and original content. But as stated above, Minecraft is quick to catch my eye on your channel lol
Overall you have a hefty amount of subs and should be getting more views than you are. Make sure you promote yourself in the appropriate channels and make yourself known. Interact with other similar-sized channels and reply to any and all comments on your own channel ;) Good luck and keep at it!!

Awesome feedback, I like the criticism and the suggestions. I rebranded my channel, it used to be Minecraft orientated but Minecraft is hard to just keep playing, you have to create an ending because there is no end to Minecraft, and before you know it you are on Episode 134 of a survival series. There are options to make Minecraft interesting but not interesting enough.

Minecraft is a specific niche, which is nice for beginners, but the game isn't fulfilling to me, I need something to beat so I decided to rebrand from just BossKnight to BossKnight Films and have the idea of the channel being a gaming related production channel, complete with different characters, different personalities, and in the future different content that is still gaming related.

The trailer was to show off that I am still Jeff, but Jeff is also BossKnight and The Classic Nerd and I wanted a quick and simple way to explain what was different between BossKnight and The Classic Nerd but just simply saying BossKnight does lets play videos and gaming related content and Classic Nerd reviews games.

The comment on unique and original content, I know that is a very bold statement on YouTube, but I want to move forward and away from my old content and want people to expect fresh content and to expect more games.
